Rex Healthcare will assist you with obtaining the necessary approval for your visit and will file your insurance claims for you. We are able to file primary and most secondary insurance claims. For your reference, we have provided printable copies of our Patient Financial Services brochure:
- At the time you register, we will need a copy of your insurance card(s) to file your claim. If you have Medicare or Medicaid insurance, we will need a copy of this/these card(s).
- When you register, you will be asked to sign a form that authorizes us to release information to your insurance company to ensure your claims will be paid promptly.
- If your insurance requires approval (pre-authorization or pre-certification) for certain tests or admission to the hospital, we will help you obtain the necessary approval for your visit if you have not done so.
- We will collect your co-pay, co-insurance and/or deductible at the time of your visit and accept cash, personal check and most major credit cards. If you have questions concerning estimated charges, your financial responsibility or need financial assistance, please contact our Customer Service office at (919) 784-7641.
If you would like a cost estimate before your visit, you may contact Patient Financial Services for radiology services information or call Rex Health Information Management (for hospital admissions, same day surgery, endoscopy or pain clinic procedures) at (919) 784-3158, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Financial Assistance
Patient Financial Services representatives will answer any financial questions that you may have before, during or after your visit and help you arrange financial assistance as needed. Representatives are available when you need them.

About a week after hospital discharge, you will receive a Summary of Charges from Rex Healthcare, one or more bills from your physician and a bill for specialty services provided. If your insurance plan pays less than the amount of your bill, you will be responsible for the balance (i.e. co-payment, deductible or non-covered charges.)
