Hospitalist Team
One of the many benefits enjoyed by Rex patients is the availability of our unique hospitalist program, which offers patients round-the-clock care by physicians on staff at Rex. Our Hospitalist Team is a group of board-certified Internal Medicine physicians exclusively dedicated to caring for out inpatients. In fact, these physicians do not have medical practices outside of the hospital, and are specially trained to provide care only for you – the hospitalized patient.
Your physician has asked that the Rex Hospitalist Team coordinate your medical care during your stay at Rex. When you are at Rex, we will notify your physician of your admission and discharge from the hospital. The Hospitalist Team also ensures that pertinent information regarding your hospital stay is transmitted to your physician after you are discharged from the hospital.
